Chesapeake, VA
2012 Primary Fund Raiser
This year the league is setting the goal of replacing our storage boxes with a building, and updating the dugouts on B Field. This is in addition to all our regular purchase of balls, gas, helmets, field maintenance equipment, trash pickup, electricity etc. Our per player budget comes to almost $185.00 per player. Registration fees cover only a small part of this cost. Sponsors and concessions income covers another portion. The fourth leg of league income is our ONE player generated fundraiser a year. It is our largest contributor to the league’s budget. This year we have set a goal of $15,000 from this fundraiser.
To achieve this goal, we will be holding a Raffle with several prizes to be given away on opening day this season. We have a grand prize of a $250 prepaid debit card a second prize of $100 prepaid debit card, and three third place cards of $50. A total of $500 is prizes. Ticket prices will be $5.00. Ticket sales will occur from the date of the first registrations through April 7, 2012.
We are
asking that the players sell 10 tickets each. When you register your daughter
you will be expected to buy the book of tickets for $45.00. As in the past you
can keep the $5 for the 10th ticket as a discount for completing your
fundraising. All ticket stubs need to be turned in no later than March 31, 2012
The drawing will be held by April 21, 2012. You do not need to be present to win.
Similar fundraisers have been used in the past with exceptional results----the tickets almost sell themselves. Please understand this does not relieve you of mandatory fund raising required should your daughter make the All Star team. Your participation in fundraising is what keeps the registration fees down for everyone.
Please help us continue to provide top-notch facilities for your children by giving your best effort during this fundraiser.
