No one likes to work the concession stand, but it has always been part of the deal when you sign up for organized sports. The concession stand provides much-needed income to pay for umpires, equipment, field maintenance, etc.; it helps keep sign-up fees down. It is also there as a convenience to you. Without volunteers, the concession stand cannot operate. Please keep these things in mind:

Most teams are scheduled to work before or after their games, with some unavoidable exceptions. Check your time.

Workers need to be at least 16.
The must be at least one adult in the concessions. 18 and up.
If it at all possible Please refrain from bring young children into the concession stand, space is limited for them to be in there. We do not want any youngster to have an injury. There is sufficient room for our volunteers to work and not a whole lot more.
If there is an issue with child care please let the concession committee members know before your shift.
Also this year we are requesting 3 parents from each team, this includes weeknights and weekends.
If your team does not show or buyout, the concession stand and bathrooms will be closed, and no money will be raised for the league that day. It is not fair to assume that someone else will handle it. We are all busy.

WBLL will still do "buy outs" in 2 hour shifts. Your team parent needs to contact the concessions committee at least 48 hours before the shift to do a buy out. We are currently putting a list of volunteers that would like to be contacted for buy outs. Please e-mail your information to snack@wbll.org . Please include your name, age if under 18, and a contact number. If you are under 18 please include your parents contact information.
